Lucas Marcelli Memorial Scholarship Fund
Lucas Marcelli was taken from us August 25, 2014 in a plane crash at the age of 20. Lucas was a loving son, brother, friend, and boyfriend. He stood out in all aspects of his life including academics and athletics at Jackson High School and Case Western Reserve University.
The Lucas Marcelli Memorial Scholarship Fund is a non-profit organization created to honor his legacy. Lucas was a talented young man with a bright future who was taken from us far too soon. His talents on and off the wrestling mat cannot be replaced, but they can be remembered. A memorial scholarship will be awarded to a worthy wrestler from Jackson High School who demonstrates Lucas’s core values of excellence.
During a time of tragedy people always ask, “What can I do to help?” Too often the answer is nothing. Well, here is what you can do to keep Lucas’s spirit alive. To honor his family and his memory, please donate to help fund this worthy scholarship. Your tax-deductible donation will not only be honoring Lucas, but a family and community who has lost an amazing member.
Our Goals
Our short-term goal is to fund a perpetual yearly senior scholarship award at Jackson High School, but a long-term goal is also to fund a yearly undergraduate wrestler scholar-athlete award at Case Western Reserve University.
